Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and a writer. She is most well recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s she performed as a stage performer in a few Broadway productions before gaining into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's performance in the year 1957. That same year, she made her debut album of songs, called It's time for Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film received a lot of praise and Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. She signed on with CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood as well as Broadway in roles that were more serious to counter her image of the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she also has made an impact as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated to Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for childhood and adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and has lived there from then on.
